Targeted to open in the Fall of 2012, the APEX Sports Center will be a 280,000 sq ft indoor, multi-sport facility located near the border of Geneva and West Chicago in Illinois (Kane/DuPage County border).  APEX will provide the most comprehensive athletic playing surfaces in the state of Illinois for most major Illinois High School Association (IHSA) sports.

The versatility of this facility will be a one-of-kind, for use by athletes of all ages from youth sports to adults as well as special and paralympic athletes.  APEX will provide athletes and teams the opportunity for:

  • Developing Fundamentals
  • Training
  • Performance Improvement
  • Competition

Why APEX is being developed for area athletes:

1)  Chicago Weather.  As we all know, Chicago weather is unpredictable.  It rains 35% of the year.  The average temperature from November to April is 33 degress (25 degrees with wind chill).

2)  Limited Sports Facilities.  Any coach or sports administrator can attest to the shortage of training and practice space, in part due to the increase in participation in youth sports.

3)  Year-Round Activity.  Enable athletes and teams to train and compete throughout the year to improve their level of performance.

4)  Health and Exercise.  Promote and encourage physical activity for all ages.

APEX will be able to accommodate or host leagues, camps, clinics, and tournaments for nearly any sport.  It will also be used for a variety of programs for toddlers through seniors, as well as the ability to host local community events and functions.
